Can't believe it's been so long.... Super quick update

It's been over six weeks weeks since I blogged and I feel so removed at the moment. Tres terrible!!! I've been sooooooooo busy, combined with a two-week long depressed period when I lost all my data, (my external hard drive  i.e all my photos from 2007, ALL my music including the incredible music from Paris, all my pics for this blog. EVERY-THING!!! I cried for a week, literally hand-in-head, my life is over hour long crying sessions every day for about ten days and then I got stupidly busy with work!! Anyway, hard drive was restored and all my data came back after shelling out £400 to a lab data recovery service. Definitely worth it but massive implications for EVERY-THING.

1) Blinking perspective- I ran around telling everyone that losing my data was the worst thing thing that's ever happened to me!!!! Wow. How  lucky am I that that's the worst thing that's ever happened to me. I mean people getting raped in the Congo, children who don't have enough to eat, kids who can't go to school and I go into a depressed funk because of losing my photos and music. After that I saw a documentary about Staff Benda Bilili, a really amazing bad from Congo. Fantastic musicians who are all affected by polio, all homeless one, lost everything from the little shack they did have and yet totally thriving and following their dreams. Made me so ashamed of my myself.

2) I really have very little money - have NO savings, and if I'm gonna fulfil my goal of getting out of debt, I'm gonna have to take out my goals of travelling as I can't afford it, so unless there's some divine intervention that lands me x amount of money, going to have to take out:

  • Camino route
  • Bike-ride in Amsterdam
I'll still keep in my Rome marathon as I've paid for it and I'll save towards my La Reunion trip, but that's it. Therefore I need to revise two challenges. I'll keep them in in case there is some divine intervention, but otherwise these are my alternatives:

  • Hike to and climb Machu Picchu
  • Become really toned
