| A walking advert for raw-foodism |
Right having just washed my hair and the lovely relaxing feeling that gives me and re-reading a bit of Natalia Rose' 'Raw Food Life Energy Force' which is what I followed when I embarked on my two week raw-food adventure last week and ended up looking and feeling the best I'd ever felt. However that was combined with daily exercise, so I don't know which factor contributed the most to a state of complete well-being. Soooooooo, I don't want to eat raw food only. I enjoy cooking and LOVE food and don't feel that I should deprive myself of anything that I want, so hence my resolve to start my 50 recipes again so that it's gastronomical pleasure that's gonna be my main goal. Case in point - M&S carrot cake I had for lunch made me feel SICK as sick as the smelly cauliflower soup that made me give up the raw food regime.
So it's all about balance and as I fantasied about the Cote menu on Sunday, I want to eat food that looks and tastes AMAZING and full of flavour. So I will stick to the raw food principle of green juicing in the morning and as far as possible a raw breakfast (like the super delish pomegranate, blueberry, grapefruit and kiwi mixes I've been having) and a salad, protein and veg carb for lunch and for the best part of the week lentil stew/soup and then 2-3 nights a really delish recipe.
That's just the diet element - I also need to make sure I'm doing an hour of yoga and 10 mins of meditation every morning and running at least 3 times a week.
Really importantly, I need to sort out my mental health, the things that I worry about (mainly work, debts and being there for my friends and family), so being organised will contribute to that. Anyway I've got the next few days to sort all of that out because as of next week, I enter into a contract with Ms Adofo which will include mandatory exercise and family phone calls on the weekend. Bring on physical and emotional well being.
