3 month update on all challenges as inspired by Mrs Green

1Get driving license
In typical fashion, I managed to miss my booked driving test. Had not had any lessons for about two months, just got back from Sierra Leone, internet went down and I was unable to change my test date on time, so decided with my instructor not to take test. Will re-book for next year and get myself a consistent set of ten lessons in preparation and then will be ok to pass in time for target of February.

November focus

Just realised I really should start ticking things off this list - some might be slightly difficult given that I'll be in Sierra Leone for two weeks in two weeks time, but anyway would be super happy if I accomplished the following this month:

Oh wouldn't it be love-ly - but it was

I visited Columbia Road market weeks and weeks and weeks ago, before the losing data incident. It was lovely- wasn't quite the early morning visit I I had envisioned but got there around lunch and my first meal of the day was a liquid one (such an alcoholic sometimes) and it was HOTT and the flowers beautiful and the lovely beautiful Eliana came to meet me and we have  a LOVE-LY afternoon. I've posted the Audrey video as I LOVE me some Audrey and I always imagined Columbia road flower market was going to be like in my Fair Lady. And now my computer is being super slow so I can't upload my beautiful photos from my visit to the flower market but will do soon (hopefully).

J'ai deux armours, Josephine Baker et Josephine Baker

What a super wonderful EVENING. Distressed from a phone call with the mortgage company (up for a re-mortgage and they're telling me I have now have a 'lease mortgage' which is oh so tres complicate!!!) I walked up to the gym listening to Mme Baker and I LOURVE her. She is just phenom - her whole life story and transformation into this super icon and even though the Parisians embraced her as the exotic 'negress' girlfriend played the game for real and you think Angelina invented the UN rainbow family? Hello no, that was Josephine trail-blazing that trend ((Japanese, Venezuelan, Israeli, Ivorian, Moroccan, Korean, French and others which I want to emulate!!) and she was bi and owned it!!! And she had sex with Frida Kahlo. Blows my mind - two of my most inspiring artists ever got it on!! Muse to Hemingway, Piccasso, F.Scott Fitzgerald, Langston Hughes AND Christian Dior!!! (Eff off racist Galliano) AND she effed off America renouncing citizenship of a country that treated her like crap and assumed French citizenship and became a French spy Briliiant! I actually want to be her. Anyway my love was re-ignited with what is my second (first being Little White Lies) favourite film of the year - Midnight in Paris which I saw on the flight to Vegas and all I have to say is if you love Paris and the 20s and literature and jazz and art (like I do) SEE THIS FILM!!!!!!!

Jinga, jinga

Went to my first capoeira class this evening and it was a lovely little class of 4, so really supportive and they didn't laugh at the fact that I had ZERO coordination and held them up from their proper class. Oh dear!! I marvelled as they moved seamlessly into their playing poses and thought 'one day that'll be me. I think I'm going to tick this off my list, simply because I went and I played and I don't have much ticked off the list, but I will keep going (well once the gym sorts out their eff-up of telling me that the classes were free but the group reckons I have to pay a class fee in addition. HELL to the NO).

I climbed the Red Rock in Nevada

So just got back from Vegas (on Wednesday) and super jet-lagged. Didn't really take many photos to show the lovely Mrs Green, nee Osterman's beautiful wedding. Soooooo lovely to spend time with Rach and meet her lovely friends especially Michelle who I actually LOVE. She's so perfect and radiates such goodness, plus she's gorgeous and so lovely. Oh yeah and I managed to do a really hard climb on the red rocks and I loved it. Will put more photos once I get them from Rach. Oh I hate it when I tick something off the list and I don't detail properly but it was super lush, a super hot day and I dashed up the rocks, the highest point I could find, but coming down was a bit precarious, really scary actually But it was exhilarating but glad I could tick one off, maybe do another climb in Peru.

Can't believe it's been so long.... Super quick update

It's been over six weeks weeks since I blogged and I feel so removed at the moment. Tres terrible!!! I've been sooooooooo busy, combined with a two-week long depressed period when I lost all my data, (my external hard drive  i.e all my photos from 2007, ALL my music including the incredible music from Paris, all my pics for this blog. EVERY-THING!!! I cried for a week, literally hand-in-head, my life is over hour long crying sessions every day for about ten days and then I got stupidly busy with work!! Anyway, hard drive was restored and all my data came back after shelling out £400 to a lab data recovery service. Definitely worth it but massive implications for EVERY-THING.
