On tomatoes
I. LOOOOOVVVEEEEE tomatoes!!! I dream of tomatoes. I dream of being in a market, picking a tomato, holding it up to my nose and breathing in its deliciously fragrant vine-ripened scent. Unfortunately it remains a dream as I don't live in a country that has markets which cater for people other than middle class foodies who can afford to pay extortionate amounts for local and organically grown tomatoes. That said, I did make a quick dash to Whole Foods High Street Ken
on Wednesday and ventured upon some true beauties, or rather uglies as real tomatoes tend to be. The above was marinated with red onion slivers, a sprinkling of pink Himalayan salt crystals, basil leaves and a drizzle of olive and avocado oils. Yum. Yum.
Enjoy article by Guy Adams which really embodies the beauty of tomatoes, bar the whole slavery thing....
