Got over 150 emails in my work account that I have not responded to - consumed by guilt as a result and thinking I should have a 5:00am start tomorrow and go in the office and deal, cos there's a ton of other stuff besides. Might even get up and go in tonight. See how I feel in an hour, but fundamentally thinking that clutter is anything that clouds your space and brain and lawd knows there's lots that clouds my brain, but the thinking is that by limiting the physical stuff, the mental will assume some clarity as well. So what's currently cluttering my mind?
- All the stuff I have to get rid of
- Perfecting the blog for it to be reader-ready
- Having a wardrobe pole fitted
- Money and planning for Paris
- Sorting home and contents insurance
- My work inbox and outstanding tasks
- Making the house clean on a permanent basis
- Work desk mess
- The relationships I have to mend
Very typical of me, I tend to dismiss the strides I have made so in the last week I have achieved the following:
- Washed, ironed and put away my beddings (been meaning to do this for the last three years -no lie
- Got rid of about thirty items from my wardrobe
- Got rid of of my overcrowded yahoo account
- Got rid of TES under my bed, old copies of the Economist and New African
- Got rid of my sister's clothes that she no longer wears
- Organised my underwear and nightwear drawers
- Got rid of surplus make up (aim is to eventually only ever use/need: mascara, blusher and eyeliner)
